Parent partnership

We value good links with parents and carers. Our staff want to work openly and honestly with you in the best interests of your child.

We have regular meetings in school where parents are able to ask questions and gain more information about the school or how they can support their child. Look out for posters around the school or newsletters with information about the meetings.

There are meetings for new parents and children who are starting in Nursery and Reception. Parents will be given information about the school and given the opportunity to ask any questions they may have about the school. Meetings are also held for children when they are in year 2 and year 6.

When children are ready to transfer to secondary school, staff from secondary schools will visit to work with the children. Whenever possible we arrange visits to secondary school.

Are you able to support your child in school?
Ways parents have supported their child in school recently:
* Listening to your child read in reading club (ask school for details).
* Reading with your child in ‘Bug Club’ and sharing books on the computer.
* Coming to maths club and taking home games to play with your child.
* Parents coming on visits and trips with the children.

What if you have a question, concern or suggestion?
The leaders of the academy are always happy to talk to parents. Please come to the academy office and ask to see one of them. Sometimes you may need to make an appointment.
